Zo is het oudste gedeelte van de begraafplaats Anloo in het begin van de 19<sup>de<\/sup> eeuw in gebruik genomen, toen het begraven in en om de kerk verboden werd.<\/p>\n<p>Om een aantal redenen is het van belang goed te zorgen voor de historische begraafplaatsen en de daarop voorkomende grafmonumenten; ze vormen een rijke bron voor onze kennis van de vaderlandse, regionale of familiehistorie en ze vormen een rijke afspiegeling van de cultuurhistorie rondom sterven en begraven.<\/p>\n<p>De Vereniging Historisch Anloo voert al enige tijd begraafplaatsonderzoek uit en bereidt de restauratie voor van delen van die begraafplaats.
